ABSTRACT NYEPIANI, 2021. Betang Tambau House as Cultural Tourism In Nihan Hilir Village, West Lahei District, North BaritoRegency. Advisor II : Winawati, S.Pd.M.Pd. Indonesia is the most in-demand tourism producing country, such as from natural and cultural wealth that become an important component in tourism in Indonesia. Central Kalimantan is one of the provinces that has a unique tourist attraction and is much in the interest of tourists. Betang House is a traditional house typical of dayak tribe in Kalimantan. Betang House has a unique building shape, with an elongated and stilt-shaped building. The formulation of this research problem is, how the form of Betang Tambau House, how the function and meaning of Betang Tambau House. The purpose of the research to know the form, function and meaning of Rumah Betang Tambau.The concept used is Rumah Betang, the definition of cultural tourism. The theory used is symbolic interaction theory, tourism development theory. The research method used is qualitative research method which is research that is used directly in the field. The formulation of the problem in this study, 1. What is the shape of the Betang Tambau House in Nihan Hilir Village, West Lahei District, North Barito Regency as cultural tourism? 2. What is the function and meaning of Betang Tambau House in Nihan Hilir Village, West Lahei District, North Barito Regency as cultural tourism? There are three research objectives, namely to determine the form, function and meaning of Betang Tambau House in Nihan Hilir Village, West Lahei District, North Barito Regency as cultural tourism. The concept proposed is Rumah Betang, cultural tourism. The theory used is the Symbolic Interaction Theory. Functional Structural Theory. The research method used is a qualitative research method, namely research carried out directly in the field. This research was carried out directly in the village of Nihan Hilir, West Lahei District, North Barito Regency. The data sources are Primary and Secondary with the research subjects being the Village Head, Youth Leader, Village Apparatus, Community, and Betang Residents. The techniques in data collection used were observation, interviews, and documentation studies which were analyzed with data analysis techniques.
