Abstrak
This English Vocabulary book can be a reference for anyone who wants to increase English vocabulary/words, develop English performance/skill, and improve English competence/knowledge for having English competence based performance. It contains simple materials of vocabulary as a list or collection of words which have meanings. The materials are Introduction, English Existence and Vocabulary Principle, Kinds of Vocabulary, Vocabulary Classes, Types of Vocabulary, and Conclusions. Those are expressed and described practically. English Vocabulary is used to understand/decode and construct/encode sentences/messages. We in this matter can comprehend and express something in English (as an International Language, a Foreign Language, a Global Language, a Lingua Franca, etc.) needed in our real life. Vocabulary can be expressed into three kinds, i.e. Language Skills Based Vocabulary (that consists of Receptive/Passive Vocabulary and Productive/Active Vocabulary), Language (Knowledges) Based Vocabulary (that consists of Oral/Spoken Vocabulary and Visual/Written Vocabulary), Contents Based Vocabulary (that consists of General Vocabulary and Specific/Technical Vocabulary). Those can be classified into Vocabulary Classes consisting of Parts of Speech and Question Words, The Vocabulary may also be differentiated into five types, namely Alphabetic Vocabulary, Numeral Vocabulary, Natural Vocabulary, Calendar Vocabulary, and Certain Vocabulary.
