Abstrak
Agrowisata Larosa has great potential as an agriculture-based tourism destination, but its development has not been supported by adequate facilities, infrastructure, and a management system to optimize its educational function. Based on the above, the research problems are: (1) How is Agrowisata Larosa being developed as an educational tourism destination in Palangka Raya City? (2) What are the obstacles to developing Agrowisata Larosa as an educational tourism destination in Palangka Raya City? This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a field research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews with the owner, staff, and visitors selected using purposive sampling, as well as documentation and a literature study. Data analysis used data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The development was examined using the Tourism Destination Development Theory and the Theory of Constraints, along with other supporting theories. The research was conducted from September to October 2026 at Agrowisata Larosa, Jalan Mahir Mahar (Lingkar Luar) Km 8, Bukit Tunggal Village, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City. The findings reveal that the development of Agrowisata Larosa is still at a basic level, namely the involvement stage moving toward the development stage, because structured educational facilities and programs are not yet available. The main obstacles are limited funds, a lack of external support, and promotion, information media, and area maintenance that are not yet optimal.
